B. Kathryn Galbraith, Ph.D.

Kathryn Galbraith committed to promoting excellence in the workplace.   Based in Nashville, Tennessee, she specializes in executive development and in organizational and corporate consulting.  Her clients include corporations, universities, and professional practices.  In all of her work with clients Kathryn is intent on meaningful and lasting change.

Kathryn is focused on the development of the personal and interpersonal attitudes and competencies that impact the success of an organization.   Her approach to leadership and employee development is assessment-based and results-oriented.   She uses 360-degree feedback instruments and behavioral models as appropriate to help individuals and groups increase their effectiveness in targeted areas, including interpersonal and communication skills, conflict management and work efficiency.    Other frequent areas of focus are dealing with change and transition, stress reduction and integration of work and personal life.

Kathryn has worked successfully with professionals in a variety of fields, administrators in university and other settings, and managers at all levels.  In the corporate sector she has worked with Executives from such companies as Lucent Technologies, Chase Manhattan Bank, General Motors Corporation, AT&T, U.S. Postal Service, S. C. Johnson & Son, United Airlines, SmithKlineBeecham, U.S. Air Force, and Chevron Chemical Company.   She has also worked extensively in executive education programs in Pennsylvania and Florida.

In addition to her consulting work, Kathryn has more than 20 years experience in counseling, teaching, training and research in the field of clinical psychology, in which she also published widely.  She is a former Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University, where she also received her doctorate degree.  She earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois.   Her coaching and consulting work is also enriched by her own experience as an entrepreneur and practicing professional.

Kathryn has been active and held office in a number of professional and civic organizations.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the International Coach Federation.   On a personal note, she is a native of Henderson, Tennessee, has two grown sons, and is an accomplished musician and an avid sports fan.
